Service Team Leader

About the role

As a Service Team Leader you will drive the efficiency and quality of field service operations for a Belgian engineering consulting firm serving the power and energy sector. You will combine technical expertise with leadership to ensure high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of service engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Plan, schedule and allocate resources for preventive, corrective and emergency service interventions.
• Monitor service performance metrics, analyse trends and implement corrective actions.
• Act as primary contact for key customer accounts, handling service inquiries and escalations.
• Collaborate with sales, project management and other internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage service agreements, warranty claims and spare‑parts inventory.
• Identify opportunities for contract renewals and upselling of additional services.
• Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, customer feedback and operational challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of field service experience in the power or energy industry.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing technical professionals.
• Strong customer‑relationship management skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently within Belgium and occasionally abroad.
