Learning & Development Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Learning & Development Officer to join Heidelberg Materials Benelux at our headquarters in Braine‑l’Alleud. The role supports the company’s commitment to sustainable development by managing training programmes across three business lines and the entire employee population.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver mandatory, function‑specific and certification trainings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design the training portfolio aligned with corporate strategy.
• Support local Training Administrators, share best practices and streamline communication.
• Handle training needs, purchase orders and subsidy requests in partnership with the L&D Manager.
• Coordinate logistics such as invitations, venues, catering, attendance tracking and feedback collection.
• Administer training records, enrol participants and generate reports using Workday and other platforms.
• Monitor emerging L&D technologies (LMS, Intranet, SharePoint, Teams) and disseminate knowledge.
• Provide backup for colleagues on technical and soft‑skill programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience or strong interest in HR, learning & development and health & safety topics.
• Bilingual in Dutch and French, fluent English (business level).
• Organised, flexible, team‑player with a focus on deadlines.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented and customer‑focused.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
