Financial Controller 3PL EU

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller for our 3PL EU business, based in Brussels. The role sits in the 3PL finance team and reports to the Finance Director of 3PL EU, supporting the CFO and Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual budget, financial forecasts and internal reports for Group Controlling & Finance.
• Produce timely monthly financial reporting and conduct ad‑hoc analyses such as profitability, cash‑flow and cost deep‑dives.
• Review organic investment cases and ensure the reliability and quality of financial data.
• Implement a new process to closely control IT costs and provide insights to management.
• Oversee all financial and accounting operations within the IT department of 3PL EU.
• Collaborate with local teams and corporate Finance and IT functions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes and spot/correct technical accounting issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of combined finance and accounting experience in Controlling, FP&A, Audit or similar corporate‑finance roles.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience preparing financial reports and statements for internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with general‑ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• CFA or CPA qualification is a plus.
• Self‑driven, analytical and comfortable travelling within Europe.
