Vice President, Senior Auditor – Technology, Data & Model Audit

About the role

The Vice President, Senior Auditor will join BNY European Bank's Audit department, leading technology, data and model audit activities across EMEA and global business units. Reporting functionally to senior audit leaders in the US and locally to the Senior Audit Manager in Brussels, you will work with teams in multiple European locations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the annual audit plan for technology audit, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory and internal audit standards.
• Supervise traditional and continuous audits, collaborating with adjacent audit teams to address cybersecurity risk.
• Develop and maintain accurate work papers, manage audit budgets and timelines, and quickly assimilate new processes and regulations.
• Analyze control environments, design audit procedures, and apply statistical sampling and risk analysis techniques.
• Identify control deficiencies, report findings, and follow up to ensure remediation.
• Lead complex, confidential enterprise‑wide audit projects and continuous monitoring activities.
• Support regulatory requests and enhance team technical knowledge through training and cross‑functional integration.
• Communicate audit issues clearly to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of professional experience, preferably in information security or technology audit.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements and delivering results.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
