Financial Auditor

About the role

Join Swift’s Audit Team in Belgium as a Financial Auditor. You will apply internal audit best practices to help safeguard the world’s leading secure financial messaging network and support Swift’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of assigned audits within pre‑established budgets and scope, progressing toward a Lead Auditor role.
• Participate in developing audit planning documents and detailed test plans.
• Perform and document fieldwork in line with the Internal Audit Manual, validating findings.
• Help clear audit exceptions, prepare audit reports, and support key audit meetings.
• Provide timely follow‑up on audit recommendations and closure requests.
• Monitor operational reports on system components, projects and products.
• Maintain professional relationships with line management and staff, working both independently and as part of a team.
• Travel to locations in Asia, Europe and the Americas as required.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CIA are a plus.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal or external audit.
• Additional experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, marketing or consulting is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Understanding of IT General Controls.
