Software Engineer (C# / .NET)

About the role

Moody's is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Digital Content & Innovation group in Brussels. You will work on high‑scale .NET applications that support critical financial decision‑making for thousands of clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET 10 applications, ensuring stability and performance.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and production incidents.
• Design and deliver new features aligned with architecture and business needs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define technical solutions.
• Ensure high‑quality code through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

Required profile

• 2+ years of proven experience shipping production software.
• Strong proficiency in C# (async/await, LINQ, generics, dependency injection).
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API.NET Framework 4.8 and modern .NET (10) and ASP.NET Core MVC.
• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).

• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, TypeScript.
• Database: SQL, Entity Framework / EF Core.
• Version control and tooling: Git, Visual Studio, NuGet.
