Senior System & Network Administrator – F-35

About the role

Join a mission‑critical team that supports F‑35 flight operations at Florennes Air Base. You will be responsible for keeping essential IT systems running smoothly in a highly controlled environment where any downtime directly impacts operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and secure Windows and Linux systems in a high‑availability setting.
• Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and other Layer 2/3 appliances.
• Ensure network synchronization, timing consistency, and overall performance.
• Execute backup, restore and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Control system configurations, monitor hardware performance, and manage change‑control processes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networks and applications.
• Provide user support and coordinate with on‑site stakeholders.
• Support core defense capabilities, expeditionary operations, asset visibility, and sustainment through reliable infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in system and network administration.
• Strong background with Windows and Linux environments.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Layer 2/3 networking.
• Experience with enterprise networking gear such as Cisco or Juniper.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization, storage and backup solutions (NAS/SAN).
• Proven ability to work in mission‑critical or highly controlled environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills in English.
