Senior Platform Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Developer to lead the modernization of a complex application landscape within the energy sector. This long‑term, full‑time position combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to design and implement a cloud‑native platform on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses and build proof‑of‑concepts during the foundation phase.
• Design and implement a scalable, maintainable cloud‑native platform.
• Advise on and support containerization and migration of applications to AKS or Azure Container Apps.
• Contribute to the selection and implementation of SDLC tooling and GitOps processes.
• Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams.
• Shape a future‑proof platform strategy for a critical industry environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Azure and .NET Core.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization (AKS, ACA, Docker).
• Knowledge of cloud‑native ecosystems such as service mesh, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience in application modernization or re‑platforming.
• Senior‑level mindset with the ability to advise, challenge, and guide teams.
• Proactive, collaborative, and quality‑driven.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
