Sales Engineer - Process Instrumentation

About the role

ABB's Measurement & Analytics division is hiring a Sales Engineer for its process instrumentation business in Belgium. You will act as a trusted advisor to major industrial customers, engineering firms and system integrators across Belgium and the Benelux, owning the customer journey from first contact to contract signature. The position reports to the Sales Support Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Promote ABB's process instrumentation solutions and co-develop technical proposals and growth plans aligned with customers' business objectives.
• Translate complex technical requirements, risks and strategic plans into clear action points for internal stakeholders.
• Drive the commercial strategy, including pricing, negotiations, profitability and long-term account planning.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity and turn insights into a competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Sales professional with 5+ years of experience in account management, business development or technical sales, preferably in industrial instrumentation, process automation or the energy sector.
• Fluent in French and able to work professionally in technical English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experienced with process instrumentation technologies, or highly motivated to become a subject matter expert.
• Independent decision-maker, comfortable with complex technical and commercial challenges.
