Groups, Conference and Events Sales Manager

About the role

The DoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City, located in the heart of Brussels, is looking for a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Manager to lead and develop its Groups & Events business. The role covers managing a portfolio of high-value enquiries, negotiating contracts and overseeing the commercial performance of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-value enquiries and achieve conversion, revenue and profitability targets for the Groups & Events segment, through personal accounts and department performance.
• Respond to meeting, group and event enquiries, identify client needs and prepare tailored proposals, then negotiate commercial terms and secure contracts.
• Ensure accurate handover of contracted events to operational teams and monitor deposits with the Finance team.
• Work with Operations, Reservations, Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Finance and Marketing to optimise the segment's performance.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, agencies and event organisers, and monitor market trends and competitors.
• Support the Sales team through site inspections, client meetings, trade shows, networking events and familiarisation trips.
• Oversee the department's commercial activities, coach and train team members, set priorities and monitor individual and team targets.
• Improve conversion ratios, adapt the commercial strategy and ensure compliance with brand standards and commercial policies.

Required profile

• Excellent command of French and English, or Dutch and English; knowledge of a third language is an asset.
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role (Groups & Conference Sales in a business hotel, managerial level).
• Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction, with good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Flexible, solution-oriented attitude and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Hilton systems such as Delphi or OnQ is an asset.

• Salary of EUR 48,000 to 55,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
