About the role

We are looking for an experienced freelance Cyber Security Consultant to support a leading non‑governmental organization in Brussels. The role is a 12‑month engagement, working on‑site two days a week and remotely for the remainder, focusing on strengthening the organisation's security posture.

Key responsibilities

Assess and enhance existing cybersecurity policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
Conduct security risk assessments, develop remediation plans, and track implementation.
Support compliance initiatives, audit preparation, and security awareness programmes.
Monitor and manage cybersecurity risks across IT systems and ongoing projects.

Required profile

Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or risk management.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks, governance and compliance standards.
Fluency in French or Dutch, with English proficiency required.
