Financieel Controller – België

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Belgium team. The role supports financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy under Dutch and Belgian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Integral management of financial administrations for multiple entities.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial reports (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash‑flow).
• Lead financial‑administration staff and junior controllers.
• Handle VAT returns, CBS reports and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare balance dossiers for audits and accountant reviews.
• Analyse budget variances and forecasts.
• Integrate sub‑systems with the financial administration.
• Initiate and execute financial improvement projects.

Required profile

• Completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics.
• 1‑5 years of relevant experience, including a full fiscal year in a comparable role.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive and responsible attitude.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Oracle (plus).
