Communication Event Officer (NATO) – Security Clearance Required

About the role

The Communication Event Officer will plan, coordinate and deliver a range of internal and external events for NATO, ensuring seamless logistics and effective stakeholder engagement. The role also supports senior management in shaping communication strategies across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute workshops, conferences, official engagements and other events.
• Manage event logistics, including venue coordination, scheduling, communications and stakeholder liaison.
• Develop and implement event communication plans to promote participation and coverage.
• Provide on‑site support, troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Analyse feedback, prepare post‑event reports and recommend improvements.
• Produce reports and presentations on communication and event performance for senior management.
• Oversee design, content and production of communication and marketing materials.
• Maintain internal communications such as memos, newsletters and the Chief’s blog.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to innovate communication and event strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a related discipline.
• Up to 1 year of post‑graduate experience in communications or event management.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SharePoint.
• Familiarity with digital communication tools.
