Global Consumer Science Specialist

About the role

AB InBev is seeking a Global Consumer Science Specialist for its Global Innovation & Technology Center (GITEC) in Leuven, Belgium. The role sits within the Global Sensory and Consumer Science group and is responsible for designing and executing consumer learning plans across six geographical zones.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and execute qualitative and quantitative research plans covering product testing, claims testing, MVP testing, prototype tasting, and concept refinement.
• Brief and supervise external research agencies and coordinate internal teams, including data scientists, for analysis, reporting, and debrief.
• Transform research results into actionable insights and simple recommendations for product and packaging innovations.
• Guide competitive intelligence programs for the top 12 markets and validate category expansion strategies.
• Consolidate insights, share knowledge across zones, and manage trainee and partner‑agency relationships.
• Train Zones S&CS Specialists on toolkits and data‑collection programs and sustain an external network of experts in sensory, physiology, nutrition, psychology, behavior, semiotics, data science, and experimental design.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Food Science, Physiology, Nutrition, Applied Statistics or Data Science.
• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in Sensory & Consumer Science or Consumer Research.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data‑collection and analytics software such as Eye questions, Fizz, Comp sense, and Xlstats.
