Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Cloud Engineer to join our global Cloud team. The role focuses on detailed technical design of Azure cloud infrastructure and ensuring best‑practice implementation for specific projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed network, security, scalability and governance frameworks.
• Design high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, backup and restore solutions.
• Leverage existing IaC templates and reference architectures.
• Select appropriate Azure services for scalability, reliability and security.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to implement cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy and configure resources, bridging development and operations for faster delivery.
• Perform infrastructure testing, establish monitoring and security controls.
• Work with other Cloud Engineers and Architects to ensure efficient releases.
• Set up backups and define monitoring setups.
• Provide second‑ or third‑level troubleshooting and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a passion for cloud engineering.
• Relevant experience working with Azure cloud.
• Knowledge of Azure fundamentals, networking, security and monitoring.
• Flexible, analytical mindset and ability to think out of the box.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• On‑site presence in Wielsbeke is required.
