Chef de Rang – Restaurant Service

About the role

Thon Hotels is looking for a Chef de Rang to provide excellent service in the restaurant and bar of its Brussels location. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders and ensure a memorable dining experience in a modern, environmentally‑focused hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and create a warm, professional atmosphere.
• Present menus, advise on food and beverage choices and take orders.
• Serve food, wines, beers and basic cocktails with attention to detail.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and bar.
• Handle payments and cash transactions accurately.
• Support the bar by preparing mixed drinks, simple cocktails and serving beverages.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations, especially during late service hours.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar hospitality position (nice to have but not mandatory).
• Customer‑oriented mindset with a passion for making guests happy.
• Fluent communication in English, French and Dutch.
• Flexible availability for varying shift lengths.
• Desire for personal development and ability to work in a diverse, international team.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of food and beverage menus.
• Ability to prepare and serve basic cocktails, mixed drinks, beers and wines.
• Confidence in recommending menu items and guiding guest choices.
• Basic cash handling and payment processing.
