Chef de rang – Restaurant & Bar Service

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef de rang to join the restaurant and bar team at Thon Hotel Brussels. You will be the face of our food-and-beverage service, ensuring guests enjoy a warm, professional and memorable experience during their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, present menus and explain daily specials.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and serve basic cocktails, mixed drinks, beers, wines and other drinks at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area, including table settings and bar stations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and other service staff to coordinate service flow.
• Handle guest requests and resolve minor issues promptly to guarantee satisfaction.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar restaurant or hotel service role (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong customer-service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Good command of English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cocktail and beverage preparation.
• Familiarity with standard service etiquette and table setting.
