Backend & Data Engineer (AI Platform)

About the role

We are looking for a founding Backend & Data Engineer to design and build the core data infrastructure that powers our AI‑driven “Chief of Staff” platform. Working closely with the founders, you will own critical components from day one and help shape the future of company‑wide intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Transform the existing data layer into a robust, battle‑tested system and create pipelines that ingest and normalize data from third‑party tools.
• Develop “agent‑ready” APIs that abstract external platforms for autonomous AI agents.
• Manage asynchronous worker infrastructure to orchestrate background workflows, sub‑tasks and data synchronization.
• Implement semantic search and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines, ensuring new data is vector‑embedded for real‑time AI context.
• Deliver production‑grade features with a focus on speed, reliability and user experience.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience or a proven track record of rapid, high‑impact engineering.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to design scalable data pipelines and async processing.
• Passion for building infrastructure that enables AI agents to operate autonomously.
