Mobile Engineer

About the role

Qargo is looking for a Mobile Engineer to join its Frontend team in Ghent. The role focuses on developing and enhancing Qargo’s React Native mobile application, which is used daily by thousands of logistics drivers across Europe. You will work on features that keep drivers connected with planners in real time, even in low‑connectivity environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cross‑platform (iOS & Android) features using React Native and Expo.
• Write TypeScript code and integrate with Qargo’s GraphQL API powered by Hasura.
• Utilise Firebase/Firestore for real‑time data synchronization and offline support.
• Ensure high performance and reliability of the app in field conditions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to translate logistics requirements into polished mobile experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold a high engineering standard within the Frontend team.

Required profile

• Proven experience building cross‑platform mobile applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of features from design to delivery.
