Technical Designer – Brussels Region

About the role

As a Technical Designer within Elia Belgium, you will contribute to the design and realisation of high‑voltage electricity transmission infrastructure across the Brussels region. You will work alongside engineers and project teams to deliver reliable, sustainable power solutions that support economic growth and environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings for cables, lines, underground connections and secondary systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet technical standards and project specifications.
• Prepare and review documentation for construction, installation and commissioning phases.
• Support feasibility studies and provide technical input for project planning.
• Maintain design data in CAD platforms and ensure version control.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in electricity, electromechanics, automation or engineering.
• Experience in design activities for electrical installations.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Attention to detail with solid planning and organisational abilities.
• Motivation to develop expertise in high‑voltage power systems.
