Business Developer – Sustainable Timber Construction

About the role

Wood Shapers is looking for a commercially‑minded Business Developer to expand its presence in the Flemish real‑estate and construction market. You will promote sustainable timber solutions and act as a bridge between clients and our engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Flemish real‑estate and construction market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, investors, architects, and other key stakeholders.
• Promote Wood Shapers’ timber construction solutions and explain their added value to clients.
• Support clients during early project stages and translate their needs into viable opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth transition from opportunity to execution.
• Represent Wood Shapers at industry events, networking activities, and professional associations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Dutch; good command of French and/or English.
• Initial experience in a commercial, business development, real‑estate, or construction‑related role.
• Good knowledge of the Flemish real‑estate market; an existing network is a strong asset.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with a proactive, customer‑oriented mindset.
