System Engineer

About the role

As a System Engineer within Cream Consulting's Infrastructure practice, you will ensure the stability, performance, and evolution of our clients' server parks and platforms. You will work in a collaborative environment that values personal development, collective intelligence, and intrapreneurship.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incidents, changes, and troubleshooting following ITIL best practices.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for system infrastructure, including cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Administer and automate Azure cloud resources using Ansible.
• Monitor performance, tune systems, and optimize storage and backup solutions.
• Create test environments, maintain documentation, and improve recovery plans.
• Contribute to long‑term infrastructure consolidation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer.
• Strong autonomy combined with excellent teamwork.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.

Required skills

• Linux administration (CentOS, RedHat, Oracle Enterprise Linux).
• Windows Server (2008‑2019) and Active Directory.
• Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Git.
• Monitoring with Zabbix.
• Virtualisation using VMware.
• Cloud platform: Microsoft Azure.
• ITIL incident and change management practices.
