Senior ICT Manager – Digital Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a senior ICT Manager to lead a digitalisation team during a strategic transformation period for a public‑sector organisation in Belgium. The role starts in June 2026 and runs until December 2026, offering a hybrid working model with a preference for onsite presence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational management of the ICT department.
• Lead, coach and support a multidisciplinary team of IT professionals.
• Oversee ongoing digitalisation and infrastructure projects, ensuring continuity, quality and timely delivery.
• Manage and optimise IT service management processes based on ITIL principles.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and senior management to monitor project progress, risks, resources and deliverables.
• Support the organisation’s digital transformation roadmap.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Manager or leading IT teams in medium to large organisations.
• At least 10 years of experience in ICT infrastructure projects.
• Native‑level Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2).
• Experience in public‑sector or local‑government environments is a plus.
• Master’s degree in ICT or a related field, complemented by management training.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments.
• Practical experience with ITIL processes.
• Expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Azure and Windows Server.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure and network/infrastructure environments.
• Background as a System Administrator.
