Senior Director – Infrastructure Engineering & Transformation

About the role

Accenture is looking for a Senior Director to lead large‑scale infrastructure transformation and ongoing operations for highly regulated banking and financial services clients. The role partners directly with client CIOs, COOs and risk leaders while steering Accenture delivery, architecture and transition teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end infrastructure transformation programs (data centre, hybrid cloud, network, workplace, service management) from strategy through execution and steady‑state.
• Lead incumbent provider transitions, including due diligence, knowledge transfer and risk mitigation.
• Drive modernization of on‑premise, private‑cloud and public‑cloud (IaaS/PaaS) environments ensuring technical, operational and financial sustainability.
• Oversee hybrid infrastructure operations, ensuring resilience, service stability and continuous improvement.
• Embed automation, standardisation and engineering discipline such as Infrastructure‑as‑Code, SRE and DevOps patterns.
• Guarantee that solutions meet banking supervisory expectations, audit, compliance and business‑continuity requirements.
• Act as Accenture’s executive face, managing relationships with CIO, COO, CISO and Head of Infrastructure and leading SteerCo discussions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale infrastructure transformation for regulated financial institutions.
• Strong track record of managing incumbent provider transitions and modernising cloud environments.
• Ability to engage executive stakeholders and drive delivery accountability.
