Security Specialist

About the role

TOMRA Food is seeking a Security Specialist to bridge application design, AI solutions, and cybersecurity. In this hands‑on position you will ensure that our applications are built and operated securely while meeting business, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Embed security requirements into applications and AI solutions without limiting agility.
• Translate technical security concepts into clear, practical documentation and support teams in applying best practices.
• Document security controls, configurations, and risk assessments for new and evolving solutions.
• Coordinate investigations with specialized security teams and contribute to threat modeling and secure design reviews.
• Act as the primary contact for security topics in live systems, maintain monitoring and incident‑response documentation, and support compliance reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement, share knowledge across teams, and uphold professional conduct and internal policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in application security or a related cybersecurity role.
• Proficient spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, data governance, and security frameworks/standards.
• Awareness of AI/ML security concepts and experience producing high‑quality technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Team player comfortable in multicultural, geographically distributed environments.
• Adaptable to change and able to operate effectively in a dynamic setting.
