Software Engineering Manager

About the role

The Simcenter STAR‑CCM+ team is looking for a motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of cutting‑edge battery simulation solutions. You will guide a talented group of developers through the full agile release process while shaping the future of numerical simulation in the battery industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of multiple developers through the full agile release process.
• Drive development of efficient battery simulation methods, performance benchmarking and code optimisation in an MPI‑parallel environment.
• Collaborate with other Simcenter teams (HPC, pre/post‑processing, discretisation, meshing) to integrate high‑quality solver features.
• Partner with product management, application specialists and QA engineers to ensure the solver meets industrial requirements.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, review meetings, retrospectives and planning sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software development teams using agile methodologies.
• M.Sc. or equivalent in mechanical engineering, computational mechanics, computer science or a related physics‑based discipline.
• Hands‑on experience developing CFD solvers in commercial or academic settings.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in geographically distributed teams.
• Passion for numerical simulation and creating value‑focused solutions for the battery industry.
