Privacy Policy Senior Manager

About the role

Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team is seeking a senior leader to head its global privacy strategy. You will guide policy development across AI, data protection, and online ecosystems while representing Google in engagements with regulators and public‑policy stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Shape Google’s public‑policy stance on AI, privacy‑enhancing technologies, data transfers, advertising privacy, and consent.
• Partner with cross‑functional and local teams to drive a cohesive global privacy strategy.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory initiatives, develop strategic responses, and engage with privacy regulators.
• Create company‑wide positions, narratives, collateral, and programming to support policy objectives.
• Represent Government Affairs and Public Policy in external forums and with data‑protection authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 14 years of experience in technology policy within government, think‑tanks, public‑interest groups, law, or industry associations.
• Demonstrated expertise in privacy public policy and global policy engagement.
• Experience with privacy considerations for data, artificial intelligence, and the online ecosystem.
• Preferred: experience shaping engagement with data‑protection authorities, managing teams, and working with technology companies.
