Policy Coordinator Internship – Cloud & Tech Sovereignty

About the role

Microsoft is seeking a motivated intern to join its European Government Affairs team in Brussels. Over a 12‑month period, you will support policy coordination on cloud, infrastructure and technology sovereignty, helping shape Microsoft’s engagement with EU institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and report on emerging public policy issues related to European cloud, AI infrastructure, digital networks, telecom, subsea cables and quantum computing.
• Coordinate internal stakeholder input on cloud sovereignty and digital infrastructure topics.
• Map and build relationships with EU institutional stakeholders, supporting strategic planning at national and EU levels.
• Assist in organising high‑level political engagements, executive visits, and related event logistics.
• Attend external meetings and events, providing concise summaries and analyses.
• Conduct research and draft documents to support senior staff and campaign initiatives.
