Offshore Site Engineer

About the role

Join our multidisciplinary team as an Offshore Site Engineer based in Brussels, supporting the construction and outfitting of offshore substations for a major renewable energy project. You will work closely with the Construction Manager, EPC contractors, and inspectors to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and quality standards on site in collaboration with the Construction Manager.
• Serve as the single point of contact for electromechanical engineering queries.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including inspectors and engineers, and manage vendor activities on site.
• Take technical ownership of electromechanical issues during outfitting and escalate major problems.
• Lead quality processes, follow up on non‑conformities, and manage inspection reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with the Construction Manager.
• Support cost‑benefit analysis of design variants and other ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Experience in the offshore sector and topside outfitting is preferred.
• Background in engineering (Electrical and/or Electromechanical).
• Possession of VCA VOL/SCC supervisor certificate.
• Compliance with PPE and training matrix requirements.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a strong plus.
