Mechanical Technician II – Data Center

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician II to join our data‑center facilities team in Belgium. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining the mechanical and HVAC infrastructure that keeps our data‑center environment reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair mechanical systems such as chillers, air handling units, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units and related piping.
• Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies and implement cost‑saving improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and ergonomic standards, using PPE and safe work platforms.
• Respond to emergencies and abnormal conditions to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with external contractors during upgrades or maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree, trade school certification or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lb (23 kg) and work non‑standard hours or shift rotations.
• Experience with data‑center cooling distribution systems, or similar environments such as hospitals or power plants.

Required skills

• Mechanical/HVAC systems maintenance.
• Chillers, air handling units, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units.
• Use of meters, sensors, digital metering, calibration and diagnostic equipment.
• Material handling and safe‑work practices (PPE, harnesses, platforms).
