Junior IT Analyst – IT Operations Support

About the role

BMW Financial Services Belgium is seeking a motivated Junior IT Analyst to support IT initiatives in an Agile/DevOps environment. You will work within a multidisciplinary feature team, translating stakeholder needs into functional requirements and ensuring alignment with central BMW platforms and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Structure and refine functional requirements, acceptance criteria, specifications and user stories.
• Map current and target processes, identify impacts on systems, interfaces and data.
• Coordinate governance steps, preparing inputs for legal, compliance and architecture reviews.
• Provide second‑line incident analysis, root‑cause investigation and coordination of sustainable fixes.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working.
• Support automation initiatives by assessing feasibility, dependencies, risks and integration patterns (e.g., API usage).

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in a functional analysis‑focused role.
• Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to structure conversations, clarify priorities and report clearly.
• Maturity to oversee the IT landscape while supporting stakeholders professionally.

Required skills

• Process modelling (e.g., BPMN).
• Basic understanding of integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP) and data flows.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile and DevOps practices.
• Practical experience with Confluence and Jira for documentation and backlog management.
• Interest in workflow automation tools such as N8N and AI‑driven automation.
