HR Generalist – Netherlands and Belgium

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support our operations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will manage the full employee lifecycle for roughly 90 staff members, ensuring compliance with local legislation and delivering high‑quality HR services in a collaborative, cross‑border environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll, off‑boarding and employee data management.
• Partner with local business leaders and the European HR team to ensure compliance with Dutch and Belgian employment laws.
• Maintain and optimise HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday or equivalent).
• Support Dutch Work Council processes and handle confidential employee information in line with GDPR.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to HR digitalisation projects.
• Assist with recruitment activities and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of progressive HR experience supporting Belgium and the Netherlands.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch and Belgian employment legislation.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a global or matrixed organisation.

Required skills

• Workday or comparable HRIS platform.
• Payroll administration systems for the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
