HR Generalist

About the role

As an HR Generalist at SMT, you will support the full employee lifecycle with a strong emphasis on recruitment. You will help attract, develop, and retain talent while ensuring smooth HR administration and payroll support across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Gather hiring needs from managers and challenge requests when appropriate.
• Draft and publish job ads on job boards, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Source candidates through direct search, CV databases, and professional networks.
• Conduct HR interviews, coordinate the recruitment process, and participate in candidate assessments.
• Monitor recruitment KPIs such as time‑to‑hire and quality of hire.
• Support HR administrative processes, including contract management, personnel files, and absence tracking.
• Assist with payroll preparation by collecting and validating payroll data.
• Provide first‑line support to employees on HR and payroll queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience with significant recruitment exposure.
• Experience in a multi‑site or international environment is a plus.
• Strong ability to build trusting relationships with managers.
• Good knowledge of labor laws, HR administrative processes, and payroll systems.
• Excellent command of French and a good level of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in recruitment techniques (sourcing, structured interviews, assessments).
• Familiarity with HR tools and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
