About the role

We are seeking a dynamic HR Assistant to support our growing international organisation of over 120 employees. The role is central to maintaining smooth HR operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage personnel records, contracts, entries, exits and amendments for employees and freelancers.
  • Track absences, holidays, sick leave, time credit and remote work, keeping HR data accurate in internal systems and social secretariat platforms.
  • Provide payroll support in collaboration with the People & Culture Director and external social secretariat.
  • Act as contact for HR suppliers regarding benefits such as group insurance, hospitalisation, travel, and telephony, and process related invoices.
  • Assist recruitment by posting ads, screening CVs, scheduling interviews and coordinating onboarding, including IT setup and GDPR compliance.
  • Support temporary staff management through the interim agency, handling schedules and invoices.
  • Serve as primary HR point of contact for employee queries and coordinate IT equipment orders with the HQ helpdesk.
  • Contribute to internal communications, events, training programs, first‑aid and fire‑evacuation drills, and compile social reports.

Required profile

  • Eligible to work in the EU with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources.
  • 2‑3 years of experience in an administrative HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation and HR administration practices.
  • Fluent in French and Dutch, with solid spoken and written English.
  • High level of confidentiality, strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
