Graduate Body Design Engineer – Interior Design

About the role

Join Toyota Motor Europe’s R&D centre in Brussels as a Graduate Body Design Engineer. You will help shape the interior of next‑generation European vehicles, turning creative concepts into production‑ready designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop interior trim, instrument panels, seats and seatbelts for vehicle projects while meeting performance, quality and cost targets.
• Investigate style feasibility and collaborate with the Styling department to ensure design practicality.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed production drawings.
• Work with suppliers and Toyota production engineering to confirm manufacturing feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in partnership with the Homologation department.
• Support plant production and quality engineers during production trials and resolve arising issues.

Required profile

• Recent university graduate (less than 18 months of experience, excluding internships) with a degree in Engineering or Industrial Design.
• Fluent in English, the business language of TME.
• Strong interest in interior quality, materials and automotive design.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling.
