About the role

Mercier Consultancy Group is looking for a motivated French‑speaking Rent‑a‑Car Consultant to join its travel team in Sofia, Bulgaria. You will be the first point of contact for French‑speaking customers seeking vehicle rental solutions across Europe, delivering a seamless and friendly experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist French‑speaking customers with rental inquiries, bookings, modifications and cancellations via phone, email and live chat.
• Provide accurate information on vehicle categories, rates, insurance options and travel policies.
• Process reservations using internal booking and fleet‑management systems, ensuring precision at every step.
• Handle complaints and escalations professionally, aiming for swift resolution.
• Upsell additional travel services, upgrades and insurance in a consultative manner.
• Coordinate with travel partners, airport teams and rental stations to ensure smooth pick‑up and drop‑off.
• Maintain detailed records of all interactions in the CRM system, complying with data‑protection standards.

Required profile

• Native or fluent French (spoken and written).
• Valid EU passport.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Previous experience in customer service, travel support or vehicle‑rental environments is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
