French‑Speaking Rent‑a‑Car Consultant (Sofia, Bulgaria)

About the role

Mercier Consultancy Group is looking for a French‑speaking Rent‑a‑Car Consultant to join its on‑site team in Sofia, Bulgaria. You will be the first point of contact for French‑speaking travellers, helping them secure vehicle rentals across Europe and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist French‑speaking customers with rental inquiries, bookings, modifications, and cancellations via phone, email and live chat.
• Provide up‑to‑date information on vehicle categories, rates, insurance options and travel policies.
• Process reservations accurately using internal booking and fleet‑management systems.
• Handle complaints and escalations with professionalism, aiming for swift resolution.
• Upsell additional travel services, upgrades and insurance packages in a consultative manner.
• Coordinate with travel partners, airport teams and rental stations to ensure seamless pick‑up and drop‑off.
• Maintain detailed records of all interactions in the CRM system, complying with data‑protection standards.

Required profile

• Native or fluent French (spoken and written) – essential.
• Valid EU passport.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Previous experience in customer service, travel support or vehicle‑rental environments is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer satisfaction.
