EU Reporting and Compliance Associate

About the role

The EU Reporting and Compliance Associate supports the UNODC Brussels Liaison Office in ensuring that EU‑funded programmes meet all contractual, reporting and administrative requirements. Working under the External Relations Officer, the associate provides technical assistance, monitors compliance, and helps maintain accurate project data.

Key responsibilities

• Offer first‑line technical support to EU‑funded programmes on compliance matters.
• Review narrative reports, payment requests, contracts, amendments and visibility materials for accuracy.
• Coordinate with the Financial Resources Management Service on staffing, financial and operational issues related to EU funding.
• Maintain and update data on EU‑funded projects and reporting tools.
• Prepare briefings and updates on EU funding for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the BRULO SharePoint site, tools and training materials.
• Monitor developments in EU contractual requirements, FAFA and UNODC compliance practices.
• Assist in organizing EU compliance trainings, project events and meetings in Brussels.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law or a related field.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in European affairs or international relations.
• Strong accuracy and professionalism in drafting and editing documents.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in SharePoint and related collaboration tools.
