DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

We are partnering with a digital gaming company that needs a hands‑on DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, build, and improve the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines powering its platforms. You will work closely with infrastructure, engineering, QA, security, and operations teams to make systems easier to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support production and non‑production environments across multiple brands and markets.
• Strengthen CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment automation.
• Operate secure, resilient, and scalable cloud environments.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and overall operational visibility.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks wherever practical.
• Partner with developers to improve deployment safety, reliability, and production readiness.
• Manage cloud networking, access control, secrets, backup, and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem improvements.
• Maintain infrastructure hygiene, cost optimisation, and capacity planning.
• Document infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Support compliance, audit, and change‑management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with a major cloud provider such as AWS.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security concepts.
• Solid troubleshooting mindset with ownership of operational issues end‑to‑end.

• CI/CD tools: TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins
• Linux administration
• Networking basics: DNS, TLS, load balancing, firewalls
• Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Scripting/automation: Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Monitoring and logging: New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
