Back of House Attendant (Polyvalent)

About the role

The Back of House Attendant (Polyvalent) ensures that all guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces are cleaned, serviced and stocked to the hotel’s standards during day or evening shifts. The role also supports deep‑cleaning projects, inventory checks and various ancillary tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house zones, following established procedures.
• Perform periodic deep‑cleaning and inventory counts.
• Replenish guestroom supplies and ensure all areas are tidy and well‑stocked.
• Report maintenance defects, malfunctions, valuables found, and guest special requests to the Executive Housekeeper or supervisors.
• Maintain effective communication within the housekeeping team and keep supervisors informed of any issues.
• Adhere to hotel policies, house rules and safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant, Back‑of‑House or Public Areas staff in a comparable hotel.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours and shift patterns.
• Fluent written and spoken English or French.
• Ability to use basic office tools and the Opera property‑management system.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS.
