Buyer – Procurement Specialist (English required)

About the role

We are looking for a Buyer to support our client projects in the Brussels Metropolitan Area. The role involves managing supplier relationships, conducting market analysis and driving cost optimisation for automotive OEM and Tier‑1 projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships during mass production and pre‑SOP phases, ensuring coordination, issue follow‑up and risk escalation.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify and evaluate potential suppliers across Europe.
• Handle RFQ/RFI processes, analyse quotations and support supplier selection.
• Prepare and support cost and contract negotiations, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
• Identify cost optimisation opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement in production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Procurement.
• 2–10 years of purchasing experience, preferably in an automotive OEM or Tier‑1 environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive, autonomous and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
