Buyer – Technical Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Buyer to work on the sourcing of technical equipment and services. You will take ownership of strategic procurement activities and contribute to the successful delivery of major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement medium- to long-term procurement strategies for technical equipment and services.
• Manage end-to-end procurement procedures, from defining selection criteria to tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Analyse international markets, suppliers and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering, project and business stakeholders to align procurement activities with requirements.
• Contribute to sustainable procurement initiatives, process improvements and best‑practice development.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, technical studies, economics or a related field with a strong technical background.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, public procurement or project management.
• Fluency in French, Dutch and English.
• Good understanding of contract negotiation and strong Microsoft Office skills.
