Strategic Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to lead the sourcing of technical equipment and services for major projects. You will own strategic procurement activities, develop long‑term sourcing strategies, and ensure successful delivery of complex initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement medium‑ to long‑term procurement strategies for technical equipment and services.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, from defining selection criteria to tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Analyse international markets, suppliers and industry trends to spot opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering, project and business stakeholders to align procurement with requirements.
• Contribute to sustainable procurement initiatives, process improvements and best‑practice development.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, technical studies, economics or a related field with a strong technical background.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, public procurement or project management.
• Fluency in French, Dutch and English.
• Good understanding of contract negotiation.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
