Application Developer – Legacy Systems (6‑month contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contract position supports a suite of legacy applications built with PowerBuilder, ASP.NET and SQL. You will be responsible for maintaining stability, security and sustainability while contributing to the gradual modernization of these systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on existing applications.
• Analyse incidents, identify risks and implement performance optimisations.
• Develop small functional enhancements and adapt existing code to new requirements.
• Collaborate closely with functional analysts to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Follow company‑defined methodologies, standards and best development practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with legacy systems, especially PowerBuilder‑based applications.
• Strong analytical skills for technical analysis, risk identification and performance tuning.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with functional analysts.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, secure and maintainable code.
