Technical Buyer

About the role

Our client is an international industrial company operating in a highly technical manufacturing environment. They are seeking a Technical Buyer to secure the supply of equipment, spare parts and technical services required for production and engineering activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier inquiries, evaluate commercial offers and negotiate pricing, contracts and purchasing conditions.
• Ensure timely ordering and follow‑up of technical materials and equipment, coordinating with production, quality, logistics and project teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to understand technical requirements and support projects involving new equipment, modifications and industrial investments.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities, monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing or procurement, preferably with mechanical components, industrial equipment or technical services.
• Fluent in French and English, with ability to read technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, structured and solution‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for managing procurement data and purchase orders.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
