Summer Intern – Water-Tech R&D (Smart Mineralisation & AI)

About the role

Aqvita is seeking a summer intern to support its R&D efforts on smart mineralisation for drinking water. The role combines experimental work with software development and AI‑driven modelling to create adaptive dosing systems for reverse‑osmosis and desalinated water.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory and pilot‑scale experiments on mineral dosing into RO permeate.
• Collect and process sensor data (TDS, conductivity, pH, flow, pressure).
• Develop and test adaptive dosing algorithms to maintain stable mineral concentrations.
• Analyse experimental datasets to identify trends affecting dosing reproducibility.
• Build predictive and AI‑assisted models for dosing optimisation and calibration.
• Support software and algorithm development for smart dosing systems.
• Document technical results and assist with validation protocols.

Required profile

• Engineering or computer‑science students or recent graduates.
• Interest in applying programming and AI skills to physical systems and sustainability challenges.
• Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary lab environment.
