Software Engineer Java

About the role

IQGeo is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join its Engineering team. You will help build and maintain cloud‑based services that automate the design of fiber networks, handling compute‑intensive tasks and managing large volumes of geospatial data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and scale a high‑performance service for long‑running network design calculations.
• Design and implement a custom licensing platform that tracks extensive geospatial information.
• Collaborate with a young, high‑potential team to deliver reliable, production‑grade software.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and strong background in general software engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of Java.
• Familiarity with graph theory, artificial intelligence, and search/optimization algorithms.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to present technical concepts.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
