Data Engineer

About the role

The company is a growing veterinary and animal‑health organisation expanding its data team. They are looking for a Data Engineer to design and operate modern data platforms with a strong focus on Databricks, Python, SQL and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Work with Databricks and Apache Spark to process and transform large data sets.
• Develop cloud‑based data lakes, warehouses and modern data platforms.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, SaaS applications and other systems.
• Design data models to support analytics, reporting, forecasting and AI initiatives.
• Improve data quality, monitoring, governance and overall platform reliability.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of hands‑on Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Practical experience with Databricks, Spark and cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP).
