Site Manager – Buildings

About the role

As a Site Manager at Jan De Nul you will lead the day‑to‑day operations on ambitious construction projects such as defence headquarters, hospitals and media buildings in Belgium. You will be the central point of contact on‑site, ensuring that work progresses smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Take operational control of the site, preparing and coordinating work according to the project plan.
• Communicate regularly with the project manager, architects, suppliers and other external parties.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage material purchase budgets and monitor costs.
• Prepare schedules, progress reports and lead site meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, construction, civil‑engineer‑architect or industrial engineering (construction).
• Technical knowledge to give clear instructions to workers and foremen.
• Communicative, coordinating and proactive mindset.
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn across different job dimensions.
