Civil Design Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

As a Civil Design Engineer for infrastructure projects, you will create detailed designs for civil structures such as bridges, tunnels, quay walls, and wastewater treatment plants. You will work within Jan De Nul's design and engineering department, supporting projects from tender through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design and stability calculations for assigned infrastructure projects.
• Provide input to CAD/BIM designers and supervise the review of construction drawings.
• Collaborate with senior design engineers, project leaders, tender teams and site teams.
• Offer technical support and advice to the Operations team when issues arise on site.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, economical, and implementation‑oriented designs.
• Willingness to develop expertise through courses and study days.
• Willing to work from the Aalst/Hofstade office.
